Mrs. Stephanie D. Hunt
Stephanie was Mrs. Michigan International in 2005. She has distiguished herself in numerous national pageant competitions. Stephanie has competed in over twenty five contests in the past decade. Stephanie was Miss United Teenager in 1983 representing the Great State of Michigan!
Stephanie has a degree from Western Michigan University. She is a past president of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Delta Chi Chapter and member of Theta Alpha Phi(thepsian order). Stephanie has worked as a Flight Attendant for Northwest Airlines Inc. for the past 16 years and has held the same position with the Detroit Lions, NBA, NHL, MLB as well as charters for the White House Press Staff.
Community service is her main driving force, where she has remained an avid volunteer. She is a member of Airlines Ambassadors an organization recognized by the U.S. congress for their humanitarian relief efforts and the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD). She acted as the groups 2005 Spokseperson, advocating new treatments research & cures for patients suffering from rare disease.
Rubinstein-Taybi Family Research Fund
The organization most dear to her is the Rubinstein-Taybi Family Research Fund. This group is dedicated to finding a cure for RTS, the rare disease that her son Donald is afflicted by, along with less than 1,000 others Worldwide.
She resides as one of the organizations' Executive Committee members. They have raised over $300.000 in less than a year to support reasearch efforts by World Reknowned Nobel Prize-winner Dr. Eric Kandel of Columbia University.
