Josie Stewart - People's Choice Winner

People's Choice Award

1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
Wonder Woman is my favorite fictional superhero! She is a powerful, strong willed character that refuses to back down from a challenge. I love challenging myself because overcoming obstacles is my strength. Dealing with my rescue animals, I face situations that seem impossible. I put on my cape and conquer the situation. I’ve been able to make a difference and meet my challenges with my Everyday Animal Rescue as Wonder Woman would in her mission.

2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
A true friend is who you can rely on under any circumstance and adores you just the way you are. I fill various roles, anywhere from being a ranch girl, model, church attendee, homeschooler, lake goer who is around animals all the time and my friends love me in whatever role I play. I call out my friends in an animal crisis and they are always there to help. That is a true friend!

3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
I have learned to handle criticism constructively. I invite criticism as a learning tool. I listen to what’s being said and don’t become defensive or take it personally. I am positive by nature and respond to feedback appropriately. I find myself able to evaluate feedback from the other person’s point of view and use the criticism as a learning experience. How I am able to handle criticism is one of the strengths of my character.

4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
My new experience I really enjoyed was learning to water ski at Lake Powell, Utah in 680 feet deep water. I usually snow ski. I was fortunate to have our boat driver, who was a water ski instructor, teach me in one try. It was exuberating skiing so close to the red cliffs and so much beauty. I absolutely fell in love. I was successful in no time and haven’t quit skiing since.

5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
Crying is a sign of strength. I have become tough skinned through critical animal situations that I have faced that crying doesn’t happen all that often anymore. I realize I was blessed to have had an opportunity to have helped them. I will testify a good cry can feel good to just let the load off. Recently I had tears when I saw that I made the top 1% in the nation for grades.
